Observed missing temperature measuring devices in reach-in-coolers and reach-in-freezers. Place temperature measuring devices in all cold holding equipment at the warmest part of the unit. (x) Temperature Measuring Devices. 1. In a mechanically refrigerated or hot food storage unit, the sensor of a temperature measuring device shall be located to measure the air temperature in the warmest part of a mechanically refrigerated unit and in the coolest part of a hot food storage unit.

A storage area and enclosure for refuse, recyclables, or returnables shall be maintained free of unnecessary items and clean.

Note: Observed two reach-in coolers without thermometers located inside, PIC placed a new thermometer in each unit.
